However, Microsoft Advertising will also expand the service. It now shows ads across Microsoft services such as MSN, Outlook.com, Xbox, and other products. The company points out the rebranding shows that its advertising output is not all about search integration. Bringing all ad solutions under a single name makes sense since most partners would recognize Microsoft’s name ahead of Bing. On Android, Microsoft says the rebranding will happen in stages over the coming months. Website material will be updated over that time: “We’re changing our name from Bing Ads to Microsoft Advertising. It’s a simple shift because our clients and partners already know us as Microsoft, and many are already tapping into our new advertising products that go above and beyond search, such as the Microsoft Audience Network. Over the coming months, all of our experiences and materials will be updated to reflect Microsoft Advertising.”
New Brand
A new rebrand also continues Microsoft’s recent push to bring more services under the company brand. We have already seen the Windows Store become the Microsoft Store, while MSN News has been rebranded as Microsoft News on mobile devices. The Bing Ads shift has started today with the release of MicrosoftAdvertising.com, which you can access here.
