However, the features debuted in version 81 will not be available on that launch build. So, looking at this latest update, what’s new? Well, quite a lot as Microsoft has added seven new features for all desktop variants. One of the new additions is a dialog that tells users when data is available to sync. This will likely be a welcome addition because Microsoft has really pushed Chromium Edge as cross-platform browser. Indeed, users will get the same experience across all major desktop and mobile platforms. According to Microsoft, a new way to add certain URLs has been added: “Added a feature to suggest URLs to visit that are similar to typed URLs that result in a failed navigation due to the fact that no webpage at the typed URL exists,” the company says.
More Features
Elsewhere in the update, users can access the Read Aloud feature through a new CTRL + SHIFT + U keyboard shortcut. Furthermore, Collections are more usable now because its possible to paste multiple items into them. Continuing with the new tools, Microsoft has also added some enterprise-focused goodies. Specifically, Dev channel testers can access a management policy for disabling Microsoft Search for Business. Similalry, Chromium Edge now hosts a Chromium management policy that allows the browser to disable web payment APIs.
