Microsoft previously discussed how it will use the platform in Azure. It seems those plans are coming to users in the form of CloudKnox Permissions Management. This is a unified CIEM that allows Azure customers to manage permissions across their cloud infrastructure. It constantly monitors the use of identities across the cloud and solves permission holds to provide more security. Admins can see all identities and see what permissions they have. Aways form identity management, the service also allows management of access keys, virtual machines, scripts, and virtual machines.

It leverages the Permission Creep Index, which is a single metric ranging from zero to 100 that calculates the gap between permissions granted and permissions used.
