To access the insides of the Surface Hub 2, users just need to undo a single screw and side out the whole component rack, featuring the CPU, motherboard, RAM, and other important hardware. Users can easily upgrade the device, while Microsoft can deliver new parts without needing to actually develop a new Surface Hub. Windows Central reports that Microsoft’s new cartridge is being developed under the codename “Upward”. It features 11th Gen Intel CPUs to offer a more powerful experience. According to the report, the new component will be ready for release during 2023.
Surface Hub 2
The Surface Hub 2 features a 50.5-inch, 4K+ display with thin bezels and a 3:2 aspect ratio. It’s all packed into a very small footprint, with both portable and wall-mounted options available. It contains a 4K-camera that rotates with the screen, integrated speakers, far-field mic arrays, and multi-touch support. Just as impressive is the ability to tile up to 4 Surface Hub 2’s together for an even larger screen. Microsoft has been rumored for years to be working on a Hub 2X with Windows core, but that device has never launched.
