The Surface Pro was launched last month. It is the first device in Microsoft’s Pro hardware range since 2015 and is an updated Surface Pro 4. Packed with updated specs, it is Microsoft’s flagship hybrid portable. Customers can now purchase the Surface Pro in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the UK and the US. The base version of the device will cost $799 (£799 in the UK) and will not come with the $99 Surface Pen. Microsoft has been eager to point out that the Surface Pro is not a successor to the Pro 4. Instead it is a refresh of the device. The company will likely launch the Surface Pro 5 in the fall. Microsoft has also rolled out the Surface Laptop in multiple markets. Launched in May, the device is Microsoft’s first true laptop. It is the flagship hardware for the company’s new Windows 10 S platform, which is oriented to educators and students.

However, customers who buy the device can upgrade to Windows 10 Pro for free. The Surface Laptop is now available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, the US, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Italy, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Prices start as $999 in the US and £979 in the UK. At the moment, only the Core i5 version is available, with the Core i7 device coming in the summer. Also, colors a limited outside the US (which gets all four colorways) with only platinum available outside Microsoft’s homeland. The company says Burgundy, Cobalt Blue, and Graphite Gold will go global in the coming months.
