We covered some of those games already, but what about some other triple A and indie games coming to Xbox in the coming months? Arguably the biggest of them all is Gears of War 5. While Microsoft was short on details at the event, the company did drop a new trailer. Additionally, Microsoft says Gears 5 will launch on September 10, or if you are an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, on Sept. 5. //www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IP_EPLfvSo Microsoft also introduced a return of its Flight Simulator franchise, and it looks like a beautifully designed game. By using real-time 4K cameras and Microsoft Azure, the new Flight Simulator experience is possibly the best-looking console game ever. It will be available on Xbox, PC, and Game Pass next year. “Coming 2020, Microsoft Flight Simulator is the next generation of one of the most beloved simulation franchises. From light planes to wide-body jets, fly highly detailed and stunning aircraft in an incredibly realistic world. Create your flight plan and fly anywhere on the planet. Enjoy flying day or night and face realistic, challenging weather conditions.” //www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReDDgFfWlS4
Minecraft Dungeons
Minecraft: Dungeons is a game we knew was coming and received a trailer at Xbox E3 today. Coming Spring 2020 on Xbox One, PC, and Game Pass, the game mixes the Minecraft block-building world with a dungeon crawling horror like Diablo. //www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0yh51p9P80 “Brave the dungeons alone, or team up with friends! Up to four players can battle together through action-packed, treasure-stuffed, wildly varied levels, all in an epic quest to save the villagers and take down the evil Arch-Illager! Discover new weapons and items that will help you defeat a ruthless swarm of new-and-nasty mobs. Fight or flee through canyons, swamps and – of course – mines! Any adventurer brave or foolish enough (or a bit-of-both!) to explore this blocky and beautiful world will need to come prepared. So quickly, gear up!”
Ori and the Will of the Wisps
Microsoft also revealed a sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest, a popular title for gamers who like to embrace speedruns. At E3, Microsoft announced its sequel, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, which will land Feb. 11, 2020. //www.youtube.com/watch?v=2reK8k8nwBc Developed by Moon Studios, the game will sport a new game mode focused on speedruns. Called Spirit Trials, the mode provides “fast paced, highly repayable race sequences spread throughout the game allow Ori players to compete asynchronously with other members of the community for in-game rewards.”
Lego Speed Champions for Forza Horizon 4
As game collaborations go, we never expected to see racing giant Forza Horizon 4 combine with Lego. We clearly did not know what we were missing as Microsoft has showcased Lego Speed Champions for Forza Horizon 4, and it looks like a winner. //www.youtube.com/watch?v=cASCytz8o9g
