EU parliamentary president Antonio Tajani announced the news today, revealing Zuckerberg has agreed to the request. “I have personally discussed with Facebook CEO Mr Zuckerberg the possibility of web streaming meeting with him,” he said on Twitter. “I am glad to announce that he has accepted this new request. Micron’s upcoming GDDR6Xmemory will clock at 24Gbps. The information comes from tech leaker @harukaze5719 on Twitter. It seems the claim is legitimate because Micron has a part number (MT61K512M32KPA-24:U) for the chip. That “24” on the end of the product number highlights the speed of the memory. The highlight seems to be the new 24Gpbs memory will run 14% faster than the current 21Gbps Micron produces. By the way, that’s the memory that is in Nvidia’s current flagship GPU, the RTX 3090 Ti....

Xbox was already scheduled to be water positive, zero-waste, and carbon negative by 2030 as part of Microsoft’s wider sustainability plans. According to the company in an update, Xbox products will also be zero-waste, water positive, and carbon negative. Achieving that goal for hardware is more difficult because Microsoft outsources manufacturing. In other words, it is more complicated to control the sustainability efficiency of a partner. To overcome that challenge, Microsoft is targeting specific methods to reach its goals....

The three companies are part of the FIDO Alliance (Fast Identity Online). This week, the trio of web browser providers said they are collaborating on a “common passwordless sign-in standard”. Initial reports of a for life version of Microsoft Teams came from The Verge, but the talkings of the larger suite come from ZDNet’s Mary Jo Foley. The well-established Redmond reporter says M365 Life is codenamed of Alta internally, and it might explain some of the strange logo changes in Office 365. Microsoft has scheduled a public preview for launch in Q3 2020 and “general availability” should arrive in the final three months of the year. The so-called bathroom law would prohibit transgender people in Texas from using restrooms for their gender identities. The Senate in the state will vote on the legislation, while the House has already passed a bathroom law for schools. A similar law was already enacted in North Carolina to much controversy in 2016. With the platform, Microsoft Azure and Edge computing solutions can now be brought to 5G customers by leveraging AT&T 5G networks. “The collaboration reaches across AT&T, bringing the hyperscale of Microsoft Azure together with AT&T’s network to innovate with 5G and edge computing across every industry.” Corey Sanders, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Solutions. Both companies say the partnership aims to improve “how people live and work today and in the future”. As part of the deal, Microsoft Azure will become AT&T’s preferred cloud service for non-network applications. Microsoft cloud will also support the U.S. network as it consolidates its data centers. Microsoft 365 will be used by AT&T. Microsoft will be able to access the company’s 5G network to develop edge-computing solutions. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella says the collaboration will transform workplace productivity....

However, Microsoft makes the bulk of its Windows revenue from enterprise and not consumers. Of course, we expect to hear a lot about how Windows 11 will benefit organizations too. Still, it is clear at first glance Microsoft is once against making a push to consumers, a market the company has often struggled with. On day 1 of the conference, Microsoft announced Azure Cloud Shell and several other new abilities for its cloud platform. Azure Cloud Shell is a complement to IDE and the Azure Portal. With this service, Microsoft cloud customers get a browser-based shell that is authenticated and hosted within Azure. The company says it is available to customers from anywhere in the world. Each Cloud Shell session provides users with a automatically set up environment that syncs to a $Home directory stored in Azure....

While Microsoft did not offer a date on ARM support for Chromium Edge, we can now roadmap it a little easier. That’s because Microsoft has now started testing ARM on Edge. Testing is underway on the Canary development channel. If you’re unfamiliar, the Chromium Edge preview has three channels: Canary for unstable builds, Dev for more feature releases, and Beta for stable previews. With Canary being the first step of ARM testing on the browser, Microsoft says the ability will come to the Dev and Beta channels “soon”....

If you are unfamiliar with the Bounty Program, it is an initiative that gives hackers rewards for finding flaws in Microsoft Windows, Azure DevOps, and Cloud solutions. The integration allows Outlook users to leverage Dynamics 365. By installing the application, a specific window for Dynamics will open next to a chosen Outlook email or calendar meeting. The service will provide Outlook with information about recipients, contacts, or record meeting data through a simple click.
