Creating a confidential computing environment relies on enabling trusted execution environments (TEEs) to drive data protection at a CPU-level. Processors for Intel and AMD already enable users to create TEEs to encrypt data when resting, when in use, or even in transit. Microsoft also already uses the same concepts in Azure. One of the problems with TEEs in their current form is that they are built in CPUs. Microsoft wants to extend their capabilities to GPUs and to make that happen is collaborating with NVIDIA....

The support document says Windows 10 users with external USB storage or SD cards in use may not be able to download Windows 10 May 2019 Update. NewsGuard will be available as an integration in Microsoft Edge. Specifically, Microsoft says the feature is coming to the beta version of the browser on Android and iOS. Marc Wautier, Program Manager of Microsoft Edge revealed on Twitter the update should be made public soon. That said, Android seems to be receiving the update slower than iOS users, so may have to wait longer for a public release. This is a feature users’ have been asking for on iOS for some time. Microsoft Edge arrived on iOS back in October 2017 and it has been improving since then. While e-book reading is now supported, it is limited to content that was purchased on the Microsoft Store. That’s arguably a bit pointless considering many iOS users will be engrained in Apple’s content ecosystem.
