This is the same preview build that came to Windows Insiders at the end of last week. Leading the changes is the addition of a modern context menu when users right click the Recycle Bin icon on the desktop. Elsewhere, Microsoft says there is now an option added to File Explorer and network sharing when right clicking. Specifically, it is now possible to pin the network share to the Quick Access menu. Finally, Microsoft is now rolling out a new version of the Korean IME (Input Method Editors) for Windows 11. This was based on user feedback and Microsoft says it delivers a more accurate experience for Korean users on the platform: “The updated version of the Korean IME follows the new visual design of Windows 11 with acrylic in the candidate window, a new selection visual, and dark mode support. It also improves improved performance and compatibility. The updated Korean IME is rolling out to a subset of Insiders in the Dev Channel first, to help us quickly identify issues that may impact performance and reliability. Over time, it will roll out to everyone in the Dev Channel. Please file feedback via Feedback Hub under Input and Language > Text Input.” Also included in the changelog are known issues and fixes. There are too many of both to list here, so I recommend heading to Microsoft’s official release notes here.

ISO Image Warning
If you are installing Windows 11 from the ISO file, you need to ensure your hardware is compatible. Microsoft has recently issued a warning about users installing the platform clean without the proper hardware. Windows 11 will only be available for laptops with Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 or higher chips. There was thought to be a workaround in Microsoft’s TPM 2.0 demand. While the restriction means automatic updates to Windows 11 are not possible, users could still manually install the platform via an ISO file. Many have done just that during the preview process. Microsoft now says that is not the case. The company warns it could withhold Windows 11 updates for users who take advantage of this technicality. Furthermore, Microsoft points out if may also withhold security and driver updates. You can download Windows 11 ISO Build 22454 from here. Tip of the day: Did you know that your data and privacy might be at risk if you run Windows 10 without encryption? A bootable USB with a live-linux distribution is often just enough to gain access to all of your files. If you want to change that, check out our detailed BitLocker guide where we show you how to turn on encryption for your system disk or any other drive you might be using in your computer.
